Lead Consultant appointment for new station building

Back

We are over the moon to be appointed by Northern as Lead Consultant, delivering Engineering Design, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Principal Designer services on their sustainable transport project at Lea Green Station in St Helens.

The station is to undergo a new station building with waiting room and other customer facilities, a multi-storey car park and dedicated pedestrian and cycle routes, allowing easier access for local businesses and residents.

The project forms part of The Eastern Region Interchange and Connectivity scheme – a partnership between St Helens Council, the Liverpool City Region and Northern, funded through the Transforming Cities Fund (TCF). Our involvement to date has seen us provide strategic procurement advice to ensure the original scope of services and programme was not affected whilst maintaining active stakeholder engagement with Network Rail.

With sustainable and accessible travel at the heart of the design, we’re excited to be working with an experienced Design Team including Struktura, Owen Ellis Architects, Davies Partnership and SDA Architecture, to ensure the station is fit for the future and improves the journey for our Clients customers.
