The role

If you’re looking for an opportunity to use your technical skills and experience to lead and support the design teams in the delivery of the Principal Designer role under CDM and Building Regulations, then this could be the perfect role for you.

We are looking for a Design Manager/Building Control Specialist to become a part of our compliance team.

Your technical and delivery skills will be used as you take responsibility for projects with clients in residential and industrial sectors.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience to join our team:

Required

  • Design Management experience
  • Building Regulations 2023, part 2A, duty holders
  • CDM Regulations 2015
  • Understanding of Building Regulations 2010 relevant requirements including Schedule 1
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and designers
  • Taking lead on design coordination and decision making

Desirable

  • Inspecting sites in line with health and safety requirements
  • Inspecting sites in line with Building Regulations requirements
  • Experience in HRB work or willing to learn
  • Health and Safety Inspections
  • RAMS review experience
  • Access Audits (BS8300)
