Furniture delivery for local charity

Back

Our recent office move in Liverpool meant we had surplus office furniture which we were looking to donate to a local charity.

We were introduced to Su Carson of the Bridge Community Centre who has used her years of experience working in community centres to turn the former Salvation Army HQ on Daneville Road, Liverpool in to a vibrant, engaging space to connect with the local community.

The centre offers a community cafe and a range of activities, including exercise for the over-50s and dance classes.

With no funding and every penny from hiring out rooms being poured back into the centre, Su said the transformation was down to “good old-fashioned community spirit”.

The desks, chairs and storage we were able to donate have already been put to good use, helping refurbish their office area which used to be the old pub’s cellar, they have updated their counselling room furniture, and also provided much needed space to their meeting corner which is used to assist the community with drop in support.
