Multi disciplinary services for Network Rail

Back

Building on our reputation of delivering projects within the rail sector, Vextrix has established a long-standing relationship with our client MFG.

Vextrix has been appointed by the client on a range of projects with varying degrees of complexity, including larger schemes and stand-alone projects, meaning the team have built a range of experience, delivering projects in line with the specific requirements associated with the rail industry.

On securing the appointments, the team work alongside both MFG and NWR to deliver multidisciplinary services, acting as their dedicated design team.

Many of the appointments are on reactive and time critical projects and in appointing Vextrix, the client has an agile and knowledgeable team with the experience to deliver to the specific standards required.

Mercury House – PCI Surveys

Project Requirements: Vextrix has been appointed to provide Design Services and survey co-ordination services to deliver several surveys of Mercury House. NWR haven’t utilised the derelict building in some time and were looking at options to bring the building back to life. These surveys will help gather PCI (pre-construction information) on behalf of Network Rail.

Services: Based on the site condition, the client required a range of comprehensive surveys to be completed. Our team completed CCTV drainage, asbestos, M&E condition survey, drone survey and building condition surveys and performed a 3D laser scan of the external area, to inform our Civil Engineer. The 3D laser scan quickly and easily displays any defects and requirements for remedial works needed to access both the road and parking area. Vextrix collated all the information into a virtual walkthrough so that the client could send the information out to contractors by a QR code/link.
