Project Manager supports local community at time of need

Back

Our Project Manager, Anouska Chisholm, has been busy supporting her local community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Anouska has spent the last few months volunteering for her local community group, Carlisle Covid-19 Mutual Aid, who support those in their community who need that extra help.

Over the months, Anouska’s volunteering has seen her collecting donated Easter Eggs from local stores, then delivering them to local schools, fire stations, hospice’s and the local hospital. She has also been delivering vital PPE to local care homes and pharmacies which had been donated by local businesses.

The group also developed a book and DVD appeal to donate to the local care homes. Anouska has spent many hours collecting and delivering the donations around her local town.

Anouska says: “I have been gob smacked at the generosity of my local community at this tough time.  The world of give give give has been awesome. Having the opportunity to volunteer in my local community has given me a real insight into the hard work that everyone is contributing to make sure those in need are supported. It has been a small act, but one which I hope has brought a smile to the faces of those who deserve it the most.”
