Conefrey Court and Tanners Court
Vextrix was appointed by Housing 21 to carry out CDM advisory services and regular health and safety site inspections across two residential developments at Bechers Road and Irwell Road. The projects included 37 apartments at Conefrey Court and 35 retirement apartments at Tanners Court, along with car parking, visitor and accessible spaces. Working across both sites, the team supported the Principal Contractor in maintaining compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, providing a clear view of how health and safety was being managed on site.
Our team carried out regular site inspections throughout the construction phase, giving the client confidence that works were being carried out safely and in line with regulations. Each visit included a review of both internal and external areas of the site, helping to identify any risks early and make sure the right controls were in place to protect both site teams and the public. After each inspection, clear photographic reports were shared with the client and Principal Contractor, highlighting any actions needed to keep things compliant and running safely.
Alongside general inspections, we also supported the sites with temporary works. This included reviewing procedures, documentation, and how things were being managed on site to make sure everything was properly planned and in line with best practice. Temporary works formed a key part of our inspections, helping to give a more complete picture of overall site safety.
Having a regular presence on site meant we could work closely with the site teams, offering practical advice and support where needed. It also gave us the opportunity to help reinforce good practice and keep health and safety standards consistent across both projects.
With experience working across a wide range of residential developments, our team brought a strong understanding of site risks and CDM requirements. This allowed the team to provide clear, practical advice throughout, supporting both the client and Principal Contractor in keeping the projects safe and compliant from start to finish.
