Parr Bridge Commercial Scheme


The Parr Bridge Commercial Scheme phase 1 has provided the construction of a new detached two-storey Nursery and a single storey shell and core food retail building. The scheme is sited on 1.11 hectares, surrounded by industrial properties, a warehouse, active metal recycling yard, an on-going housing development and Mosley Common Road with residential properties. Working for our client Flexdane ltd the team provided Principal Designer and Quantity Surveying services on the project covering a range of areas Including:

  • External works
  • Drainage
  • A new sub-station
  • 118 car parking spaces
  • A new access road,
  • Fencing
  • Soft and hard landscaping
  • External services

Our Quantity Surveying services were appointed at an early stage to provide the client with a budget estimate of the works and updated cost plans throughout the design development.

Working closely with the design team and the Employer’s Agent, the team ensured the project was delivered to meet the stakeholder brief and objectives. The team had a range of direct responsibilities throughout the pre-contract to post-completion stages including, analysing initial cost estimates, advising on development budget and preparing an updated cost plan to provide a basis for cost control.

The team managed the tender process including negotiations and the appointment of the main contractor, continuing their work throughout during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to this, the team also advised on the most appropriate procurement route for the scheme and prepared contract documentation.
